Sodexo Case Study

Sodexo and Social Media

After reviewing the social presence of Sodexo it is easy to see why they have been so successful in their recruiting endeavors. Each of their sites is relatable to the younger generation that they are targeting. The content is more robust than just simple job postings and engages the prospects. This additional content and eye appealing format brings in repeat visitors as well as keeps the users eyes on the pages longer.

In order to show the effectiveness of each of the social sites they can make unique links/forms for each that could be tracked individually allowing them to see where the prospect is coming from. They can also do comparisons to traditional methods to get a baseline.

  1. Sodexo site is good for younger crowd, but what about people who are not so computer savy. I thought the site was all over the place, a little overwhelming. I think the site is somewhat prejudice to the 55years and older audience.

  2. I agree with the assessment that Sodexo has chosen a unique way to engage its audience by having an eclectic layout.

I would also point out that much of the content in and of itself is engaging and informative -- making it actually worth reading.

    Good post!

  4. Venita: I agree that not just Sodexo, but most sites seeking employees, are geared toward more technologically inclined individuals. The days of walking into a place of business and asking to fill out an application, have fallen on the way side. I think if someone did that now, they would be looked at oddly.

The application process of today forces potential employees to keep their technological skills up to date or face the prospect of long term unemployment.
