Behavioral Targeting & Predictive Analytics

For your company, explain in a blog post:
  • How could your company use behavioral targeting to improve their customer experience?
To use behavioral targeting GM could utilize the knowledge of the keyword that brought a user to the site. If they had used a search for a particular brand of GM cars that brand could be highlighted immediately on opening. Other tactics could include listing some of the top press release headlines in a message box on the screen for that brand.

  • How could your company use predictive analytics to improve their customer experience?
The data that is compiled can show trends of what sets of screens the users proceed through. There could be optimization done to make sure that each of the clicks from one to the next is efficient. They can also see if those clicks make sense of if the user is getting lost. If a user normally clicks news, then clicks press releases, they could give a summary view to those that click on news of the press releases instead.

  1. I agree, because in several sites of these companies the consumer will get lost and end up all over the place, so i like your predictive analytics to improve customer experience. The company should stay on topic or at least lead consumer to another site that is relevant to previous one.

  2. Sometimes when you search GM's competitors' name, GM will be a related word and show up. I think that is another way to make it optimization

  3. I think you hit the nail on the head with focusing on what brought the customers to the GM site. Whether it is for part information or the latest press release, you cannot go wrong with understanding your customers better.
